America's Flawed Logic: The Attack on Iran is a Gateway to World War III

A reckless move that ignores common sense and international law. That is the most accurate way to describe the United States' attack on three of Iran's nuclear facilities. This action, ordered by the Trump administration, is not just a dangerous military escalation, but also a fundamental flaw in logic that erroneously casts Iran as the primary aggressor in a conflict that was, in fact, ignited by America's closest ally, Israel.

The world must open its eyes to the chronology of events that preceded this US aggression. It was Israel that first lit the flames of war by launching an airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria. This attack, which killed high-ranking Iranian officers on diplomatic soil that should have been protected, was a grave violation of the Vienna Convention and a blatant provocation of war. Iran's measured response, launching a direct retaliatory strike on Israeli territory, was an act of self-defense, its legitimacy arguably justified under international law as a reply to the preceding aggression.

It is in the midst of this already volatile situation that the United States, under Trump's leadership, instead of acting as a wise mediator, chose to pour gasoline on the fire. Under the pretext of preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, the US attacked Iran's nuclear facilities. This is a twisted and hypocritical logic. How can the US punish Iran for a reaction triggered by its own ally's act of aggression? It is akin to blaming a robbery victim for daring to fight back after their home was invaded.

Even more flawed is Trump's thinking in then attempting to force Iran to make peace with Israel following such a brutal attack. This is an absurd and insulting form of coercion. Peace cannot be built upon the ruins of a nation's sovereignty and at gunpoint. To bomb a country and then demand it make peace is the height of power-crazed arrogance that fails to understand the essence of diplomacy and justice. This is the logic of a bully, not a statesman.

Conclusion: The Door to a Global War Has Been Opened

With this reckless action, the United States has not only destroyed the prospects for peace in the Middle East but has also officially opened a rift leading to World War III. The decision to directly attack Iran has drawn a much wider battle line.

Let us not forget that today's world is no longer unipolar. The rise of powers like Russia and China, as well as other nations that embrace a multi-polar world view, means that US aggression against Iran will not go without consequences. Russia, which has already voiced its condemnation and called the US action an opening of "Pandora's box," has a high potential to provide more tangible military and political support to Iran. Other nations that view US hegemony as a threat to their sovereignty will increasingly close ranks.

The nightmare scenario where this regional conflict expands into a global confrontation between major power blocs has now become a terrifyingly real possibility. Proxies will turn into direct participants, and the battlefield will extend from the deserts of the Middle East to other arenas across the globe.

In this situation, no words of peace can be expected from America's empty rhetoric. Blood has been spilled due to flawed logic and boundless arrogance. The United States must and will be held fully responsible for its role in dragging the world to the brink of destruction. They have opened the door to World War III, and history will record it as a fatal and unforgivable miscalculation.
